Ciuflea Monastery (Romanian: Mănăstirea Ciuflea) is a Moldovan Orthodox monastery located in Chișinău, Moldova. It is dedicated to Saint Theodore of Amasea. The monastery was financed by Anastasie Ciufli (1801 – 1870) to respect the last will of his brother Teodor Ciufli (1796 – 1854). According to the preserved historical documents the unremarkable St. Nicholas Monastery in Condrita was founded in 1783. Being a small cloister it was attributed to the monastery in Capriana, to which it belonged. St. Nicholas and Capriana monasteries were subordinate to the Holy Mountain on Athos. This monastery has a legend which says that Haiduk Condrea while was asking forgiveness and cleansing of the soul in prayer, he heard a voice that said to him to water a dry stump every day, however the irrigation water must be brought in the mouth. It is located in Orhei forest near Curchi village, approximately 14 km southwest of the town of Orhei. The monastery is situated in the Vatici valley on a bank of the Vatic River between rich hills covered with forests, gardens and orchards. The monastery is a real gem, offering silence and peace. Monastery Noul Neamt
Noul Neamț Monastery (Romanian: Mănăstirea Noul Neamț; Russian: Свято-Вознесенский Ново-Нямецкий монастырь) is an all-male Moldovan Orthodox monastery located in Chiţcani, near Bender and Tiraspol. Geographically located in the historical region of Basarabia, it is today controlled by the breakaway Transnistrian authorities. It is also known as Chițcani Monastery.
