Moldovan wine is returning this year to the most important world-class specialized exhibitions to record a qualitative leap of local wine products.
Achievements country brand „Wine of Moldova” will be present to international public at „ProWein 2017”, Dusseldorf (Germania), between 19-21 march 2017 and „China Food and Drink Fair 2017”, Chengdu (China), between 23-25 march 2017. With the message: maded to be tasting Wine of Moldova proposes to surprise visitors of both interactive exhibitions master-classes, moderated by international experts but by organizing, in premiere of of virtual tours in the most famous wineries in Moldova.
Vasile Luca, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry: „In this year, Wine of Moldova will be present at the events of two strategic markets (UE and China), for demonstrating that Moldova made impressive progress in terms of quality of its products. As a result of the recent reforms in the sector – launch wines with IGP and a Register Wine, approval of Guidelines Quality „Wine of Moldova” – which ensure the highest quality and traceability of each product, Republic of Moldova become, indisputable, a reliable partner in international wine.”
Gheorghe Arpentin, director of ONVV: „Exposure of Moldova in this year at international events reconfirm that complex marketing strategy adopted by our country and the efforts ONVV gave important results at the quality of „Wine of Moldova”. More than that, rely on the potential for wine tourism in our country, addressing the subject in an innovative and spectacular – offering virtual tours demonstrating „live” strengths Moldova.”
The present „Wine of Moldova” at the expoziția „ProWein” is this year secured a record number of wineries – 33, that during the three days of the event, will present at the stand of the Republic of Moldova, an area of 180 m² 210 types of wine.
Interactive tasting masterclass moderated by Robert Joseph (international expert and writer) will invite the participants to know the art of wine container assembly, giving them the opportunity to create their own cuvee sites by combining the local varieties (Rară Neagră, Fetească Neagră, Fetească Albă andFetească Regală).

Wine of Moldova at „China Food and Drink Fair 2017”
At this edition of „China Food and Drink Fair” (CFDF) Republic of Moldova is present for the second time with a joint stand with an area of 124 square meters, where 180 types of wines will be presented by 24 companies grouped under the country brand „Wine of Moldova. A Legend Alive”: Cricova, Suvorov Vin, Tomai Vinex, Vinuri de Comrat, Imperial Vin, Basavin, Maurt, Carpe Diem, Vinăria din Vale, Chateau Vartely, Et Cetera, Bostavan, Purcari, Wine International Project, Mold Nord, Migdal-P, Dk-Intertrade, Asconi, Bravo Wine, Unicorn, Doina Vin, Fautor, Castel Mimi, Alianța Vin.
Moldova will organize two master classes with wine tasting, moderated by Fongyee Walker, Master of Wine and important opinion maker in wine in China, and a master’s legendary Moldovan wines, moderated by George Arpentin Director ONVV.
China is one of the target markets for Moldovan wine, a market that shows a steady increase in exports. In 2015 wine export volume was about 1,2 mln liters, which is an increase of 104% compared to 2014.
